disable notification pop up - extra sensitive screen

Everytime i touch the top of my screen, the notification area pops up. This is extremely anoying, since this occurs even when i'm in a call and the screen is not blocked.

Is there any solution for disabling the notification area?

Also, sometimes, when in a call, my phone suddenly calls some random number, hanging up the current call. Has anyone encountered this problem? Any solutions, except for a hammer?

No, i didn't, but it seems if offers no solution, except for a third party app which can help the user hide the notification bar. And the fact the notification bar is opened to just a tap of the finger seems to be a real issue, since it leeds to many unwanted actions
