Disable home key to wake up phone function

When the phone screen is off, the home key can be pressed to turn the screen on and afterwards unlock the phone.

The problem with this is that in my pocket, the home screen is constantly beying pressed and the screen keeps beying turned on.

As a result the battery goes dead quite quickly.

Does anyone know a way to disable that function?

any app that can do that?

Unfortunately there is no option within the device that can remove this function. I do not know of any applications that perform this task however I will have a look around to see what I can find.
