dim light on screen when charging

help,

My screen when charging eventhough its locked, theres a dim light

I noticed it when the battery is low then i charged it, afterwards the screen light does not goes out all black, instead theres a dim light then I have to unlock then lock the phone in order for my xperia z's screen to shut down that dim light

help please

Do you have any taskkillers or battery savers installed on your handset? is so uninstall them, if not please try an update/repair:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4.     Click repair phone.
5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.

my phone has not yet been updated since i bought it, have not updated it to .434 .. im looking for an update to .253, but is it possible to skip .434 update and jump to .253?

another question, There is really no way for xperia z to pause the video recording once initiated unless you stop it and record a new vid?

1) you have 2 options either

1) wait for the update to be approved and released in your country

or

2) no you can not pause it only stop it and use an app to stitch the videos
