Hi, im using xperia z for about a month,
everything works great, but today i realize that i dont hear any dial tone when i pressed the dial number when calling someone.
well there is a tone, but it's very very low tone.
i've check the seting, and make sure that the dial tone checkbox is on
when i pressed the dial tone and kick the volume up, the tone appear,
but the ringtone surely will be way to loud.
anybody facing this issue or know how to solve this?
many thanks!
go to settings > sound > volumes > ringtone & notifications > also when you are calling someone turn up the volume
@uliwooly, thanks for replying
if I maxed out the volume, the tone indeed apear, however, that make every other sound way to loud, ex: the walkman, movie, game, phone conversation etc.
last time i check, the tone appear normaly, with volume seting quite low, about 30%
thats what it should be in any other phone everywhere,
i checked my old iphone, and with low volume setting, the dial tone still appear normaly
try this
download quick settings from the play store > sound > system volume > turn it up
will do it and report back
thanks @uliwooly!

i try the quick setting apps but didnt do the trick,
also found the volumizer apps, that specifically had the dial tones volume option,
but still it will maxed the main volume in the setting-sound option, and the walkman, game etc will be way to loud
checked the ear speaker and all speaker
all works normally
i think i just have to live with it
anyway, thanks for answering @uliwooly
The tone is actually linked to media volume for some reason, but even with max media volume the tone is extremely quiet. I made a similar post about my Xperia T the other day. Keyboard click sounds are extremely quiet also. Let's hope someone at Sony recognises the issue and fixes it. We shouldn't have to have max volumes just to barely hear sound feedback. Also, xLOUD ironically makes both sounds even quieter on my device.
