diagnostic mode in xperia x8

I would like to ask you how can i enable the diag mode in xperia x8? i have tried the ##3424# but it did not work.I would really appreciate your help in this.

Hallo,

i am not sure what the service menu is.I tried it though and nothing happened.I am trying to connect my phone to the pc and i want to see the com port that is using.In order to see this i have to set the phone in diagnostic mode. Actually i saw this from this video:

okay i see, but i think you need your phone to be rooted, o ri think it only works on cdma phones..

i have tried the 3424 code on a rooted xperia..so you say this can not be done on xperia x8?

I think it only works on cdma phone just like it says on dthe video.

Just type secret sequence:

on lock screen of your phone.
