deleting sms

hello, i have a problem, i'd like to delete a conversation but aparently it has too many messages and when i try it takes too long and eventually the phone crashes. I even left the phone overnight deleting them but it couldn't. Is there another way to delete the conversation, such as from the pc?

Open the sms string then you can tap the 3 dots and select delete and then start to select individual messages from said string for deletion then you can keep trying to delete the who string as you have been trying to do

thanks, but that will last forever...i was hoping there would be a solution through pc companion...
