Deleting photos and video (managing imagery)

Hey there, I'm just trying to get to grips with managing photos and video. Looking at the Bridge for Mac programme, using the 'Import Photo's option and under 'Show all photos' it seems every photo I've ever taken, including all the deleted ones and then a whole ton of other imagery besides is on there - 2973 images in total and I've only had the phone a month and a half.

How much room is this taking up? Do I and should I attempt to wipe all this imagery and how would I go about that? If I 'Import All' will I be given the option to delete it all as with an iPhone/iPhoto import?

Sorry about the lengthy question. Just a bit confused by the process and how I go about optimising my memory usage.

Thanks for your help!

Matt

Unmount the phone from the computer, on your phone, settings, apps, all, album, clear data, restart the phone, then connect the phone to your mac and check again

Thank's for the advice. I did this and while it does seem to have got rid of most of these files under the 'Show all photos' option - there are now on 681 images left - this option seems a bit of a hassle. Deleting data in this way means I have to sign in to the accounts again and loses all settings.

Also, where are all these other images coming from (681). They seem to be images from all my online activity - shopping, browsing - as well as lots of other random things. Just concerned that this will eat away at memory. Especially as it now seems using SD cards with these phones is risky as people have reported them getting fried by the phones.

Is there another, automatic way of deleting all unwanted imagery off the phone?

Thanks again for your advice though!
