Delete Programs

OK I'm sure this has been asked before but.

How do I get rid of the pre-installed games. I've played them all and completed them. Now I want to put new games on MY phone.

I've tried gingerbreak but had no luck.

Any help will be gratefully reviced.

And SONY if you reading this, make it easier for us!!!!!!

you have to root your phone for doing that..

also..just wait for the ice cream sandwich update

i heard we can delete pre installed app with that android version

But if as you say Ice cream will do it then I'll wait.

well if you have rooted your device you should be able to delete them,,,

what app you are unable to delete..?

I just want to get rid of the game sthat came installed as they take up too much space.

And i've tried to root my play but never seems to work 😕

well i think you should not root now..

just wait for the ics..

if it has it then good

if no you can always root

so better..keep the above link and wait for the ics..

if it doesnt have the feature use the above link to root..

update : sorry its for the arc but you can get a clear idea of rooting to arc..

check the xda site for rooting of your play..its the best site

Hi Crizz1066,

Here is a rooting method for the XPERIA PLAY that does not require you to unlock the bootloader or flash back to previous versions.

Just remember you will have to flash back to the original state of the phone when you do update to ICS as the update service usually does not work if some of the "system" items are missing.

Also under "general" sub-forum of xperia play forums on xda is a safe list of what you can and can't remove without causing your phone to stop functioning.
