Delay in service

I'd been facing a display issue since one month now. I gave my Xperia Play for repair in the Sony service centre, Kormangala, Bangalore two weeks back on 27th October, 2012. They told me that the phone would be ready in 5 to 8 working days. And yet, when I called them today on 9th November, 2012, they say that the spare part hasn't come and that it will take more days. The person I talked to didnt even have the courtesy to apologize for the delay.

What I want your company to understand is that when a person buys a phone, they want to be able to use it, and not keep it in the service centre. The phone's repair cost is around 2500 INR. I'm paying so much and yet the service centre people dont do much. Never had a problem with my old Nokia or Motorola phones.

The reason they're giving me is that the spare part hasnt reached. What I want to know is whether they're making the spare part from scratch after I submitted the phone for repair.

My job sheet number is 1215. Look into this and let me know if I have to consider buying a new phone or if I can get my phone back this year.

Sorry about the inconvenience sir.

When a phone is in hold per parts the turn around time goes from 7 to 10 Work days to 15 plus. (business days)

The issue is that the parts need to be requested overseas or from our Asian main distribution center.

Please bear with us a few more days.

and again sorry about this.

Francis.
