Do you have the Z3 or Z3 Dual?

unfortunately seems the only way to do that is to deactivate the other sim!

I can't find this setting either.

I can't believe they have missed such important setting.

The whole Dual SIM capability is useless without this setting.

Anyone from Sony care to comment?

Same problem, hopefully it will be resolved in Lollypop. Any comment from the Sony??

Sorry but I have just received the 5.02 software version on my z3 dual and you don't have any additional settings for similar management.
Very disappointed about this.

Really a very annoying issue, for the majority of users one sim will be the main local one and the other a roaming one that needs to stay active but won't be used for outgoing calls. Such a simple but crucial feature missing from an otherwise great phone

Coming from a Moto G dual sim, where they had this function, was a bit annoyed with Sony about this.  The whole Dual Sim management on the Z3 dual is a bit poor.  Hopefully it improves with 5.1 (I am presuming tha thte Z3 dual will get 5.1).

I've used Pixel Phone Pro which does allow you to select a default sim, but the app is a bit flakey at times.  The dev claims that he has resolved any issues with Sony phones, but I'm not too sure about that.  Give PP Dialer a try (this is the trial version of Pixel Phone Pro).

Is there any way to select the default line to be used for telephone calls and sms messages? When I use a hands-free, I cannot set a predetermined line for the calls I make. I have seen this option in other dual Android cells, but not in the current dual z3 software.

Nope, sadly it's not available in Xperia software, not sure if there's a 3rd party dialer app that can be used for that.
