default message app lagging

My default mobile message app getting hung.. It doesn't open. It kept closing. What's the solution. Need help please...

Hi, 

First of all I suggest that you try to clear data for messaging under settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data. 

Restart your device and try to open the application again.

Thanks for the help Alex. I have already done factory rest due to the annoyance.. I will keep this tip in mind. Thanks again.
