Default e-mail app not checking yahoo account e-mails

Hi,

I am using yahoo e-mail accounts with the default e-mail application that came with my phone. I've set it to check the e-mail hourly, but it does not work. It only checks it if I push the refresh button.

What can I do to make it check the e-mail automatically?

Do you know if your Yahoo mail is setup as POP3, IMAP or Exchange?

Which build number is your phone running on?

I am the OP. I forgot the password and I did not receive a password change e-mail after a day of waiting, so I made a new account.

The build number is 4.1.B.0.587.

The yahoo account settings are:

imap server imap.mail.yahoo.com

port 993

To check if this problem is related to the default E-mail application or something else I suggest that you check if you can replicate the same problem using any third party E-mail app from Google Play store.

If it works fine using another E-mail app I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using SUS.

I think there's something wrong with the forum. My password stopped working after the first login so I made a new account. The password for that stopped working as well. I reset the first one and it does not work either. In the end I signed in with a Google account.

Regarding the problem I posted about, I've installed K9 and the poll setting works. But I'm just going to keep K9, I won't reinstall the phone software.
