HI,
I accidentally deleted DCIM folder from internal storage now am not able to store photos in internal storage becoz the camera can't find the folder. I tried creating the folder but its not allowing me to create with that name Now am only able to store photo in external SD card .plz help find a way out this problem
That's a new one for me, I thought the camera application auto created the DCIM folder when taking the first photo but apparently not. You could try to copying all important info from your Internal storage to your computer and backup your phone then master reset the phone and include format (delete) Internal storage. That will bring the Internal storage default folder layout back.
I really don't wanna format my phone. Is there any other way other than that ... Will rooting my device and changing permission will solve this problem ??? But for that I wont get the warranty rite !!!
We can’t advise you to root your handset and as such I would advise going with the advice provided by Johan as it will likely resolve the issue.

I have this problem too, on my Z1 Compact. Whenever I try to create a folder with the name "DCIM" or I try to rename an existing folder to "DCIM", the action fails. Also the same failure occurs if I try to copy/paste a "DCIM" fodler to the internal storage folder. Is there any way to create the DCIM folder in the internal storage space, so that my camera apps can put pictures there? I believe this problem is causing crashing by the app "Google Camera" (produced and distributed by Google).
Nevermind. A phone reboot fixed my problem. Now I can create the DCIM folder, and all apps work fine.
