Hi everyone
I have a Z3c (D5803 - android 5.1.1 - 23.4.A.1.232). I live in Italy and I have an Italian provider (Vodafone IT). Last Saturday I went in Switzerland for about 3 hours, so I decided to cut off data connection along with data roaming connection. After a couple of hours I entered Swiss territory I received an SMS from Vodafone IT telling me I had a data connection so (I have "smart passport" offer that provide me 50 mins of call, 50 SMS and 500Mb of internet for 3,00 €/day only if used) they charged me 3,00 €.
How could be possible? I used my phone only to take 3 or 4 pics, and no more! No calls, no SMS, nothing else...!
Any suggestion?
Alberto
Hi peraviola,
Welcome to the community,
This does seem strange, the first thing I would suggest is speaking with the network carrier, they should be able to advise what actioned the payment, be it SMS, Internet, etc.
Let me know how you this goes.
my carrier told me it was a GPRS connection (with Swisscom). These are the details:
Tipologia Destinazione Numero Data OraDurata Scatti Costo €
| Traffico Dati | GPRS Roaming | mobile.vodafone.it | 01:05:41 | 0,00000 | |
| Traffico Dati | GPRS Roaming | mobile.vodafone.it | - | 3,00000 | |
| Traffico Dati | GPRS Roaming | mobile.vodafone.it | 00:48:03 | 0,00000 |
here you can see 3 activity, the second one it results in a € 3,00 charge. They understood me and they refund me € 3,00. But I really want to understand how it's possible!
Same thing happened more than 3 months ago (I was in Scotland)
any suggestion? solution? thanks...
so? no support form Sony?
so disappointed!
Hello, same problem, I live in Italy near the border with France. My phone is Sony E4g code E 2003. Since one month, almost every time I cross the boarder, my company (Wind) send me a message and they charge me the costs of the daily option "Smart travel": 2,5 euros.
Settings are the same as usual: no roaming data connection allowed. "Location" was disabled. My company now refuse to refound, as they can see traffic data on my phone. They says they don't know why this happens:
It became something like a cross-border tax, anyone have the same problem?? Sony still not investigate it?
Update: it seems, in both cases, this is a Gprs connection or 2G and my company definitly refuse to refound, as they told me this is a mobile phone issue related with setttings. They suggest me to speak with Sony assistance.
