Data not responding

The data doesn't respond sometimes so I have to turn off and wait for few seconds before turning on again. May I know what is wrong?

Hard to tell, does it happen while you use an specific app? while the phone its off? how old is the SIM card? Does it happen while on safe mode?

since it doesn't happen often it will be hard to point it out, perhaps its an app causing this or it could be a faulty SIM card

It happens when I'm using Whatsapp, like some messages are sent out then the data does not respond, where I have to turn off and on the data again. My sim card is only few months old and I'm not sure how to use the safe mode.
