could not verify error

I've been trying to update my Android software fromapp store and it is giving me a error "could not verify " this error. I'm using Wi Fi and its strong

What android software?Android cannot be updated from the app store,you have to use either PC companion or Sony update service.There is also the option of doing over the air update.

So I can't update using wifi..?

You can,but not from play store.You have to do it from update centre.

If you are having no luck updating over the air then it would be worthwhile trying to update via PC Companion:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Wait for prepare
6. Select Phone
7. Follow the connection steps
