Contacts Deleted?

All my contacts have been deleted. 

Why has this happened?

Also I can't load contacts from SD Card/ Internal Storage or Sim Card,

"Contacts" just freezes...

Hard to tell, how come you can't restore the contacts, do you get an error?

could you elaborate?

I can click settings, import, SD Card, Then the app freezes. 

I now used file comander and opened contacts with contacts and they have reloaded( But an older version I had) 

So that works for now I guess. 

But Why did my contacts just delete themselves? How to prevent this in the future? I can't belive the amount of software issues with this phone...

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu 
3. press and hold "power off" 
4. Boot on safe mode should become available
