Contacts BUG

I've just acquired this phone a few weeks ago and i'm having this weird issue with contacts.

I can import, add, and edit contacts just fine but as I add more contacts, or edit names, the sorting gets messed up.. 

e.g

A----------

Adam

Alan

Alex

Beck

B-----

Bobby

Boy

Casper

C----

Cathy

and so on..

tried reimporting my contacts, it would work fine and sorted fine, but again, as i add or edit contacts, same problem..

I've just factory reset my phone and this time, i didn't import the contacts. I added them manually.. still, as the contacts grow, the issue persists..

I can't reproduce your problem. Which build number are you running on? Settings>  about phone. 

How are your contact stored? Local contacts or are they synced to any service?

i'm using the latest build 16.0.B.0.21

the way i add my contacts is usually by first name and put some like tagging in them so i can easily find my contacts..

e.g

[family] Mom

[work] MyBoss

you can try having contacts with special characters on the first name like: [ ] ( ) * -

anyway, i think the problem is not unique to this phone.. it seems there are others who encountered the same problem with different phones like the one below:

I already fixed it by exporting my contacts to windows, editing it from there then importing thru PC companion..

turns out that my contacts have some weird characters in the contact names but doesn't appear in the phone..
