contacts application crushing

hi,

I have xplay R800i with android 2.3.3 build 4.0.A.2.368.

The issue I encounter is that almost every time I try to join contacts the application crushes with the error "The application Contacts (process com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." -> Force close ... try again the same thing happens. But sometimes it does work and I've got the feeling that only for some contacts work and for other fails every time.

Anyone had this issue?

What should I do to overcome it?

you should try to update to 2.3.4

backup everything then use Update Service

you can try this too

settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> phonebook clear everything (do this after you backup everything )

no official update to 2.3.4 in Romania yet ... I'm still waiting for it 😐

I tried to reboot and clear data from contacts application, but it's not solving the issue

did you repaired your phone with Update Service?

yes and the same thing is happening even after update
