How do you edit the contact list in your phone book after you import the contacts?

Launch the contact application. Click on the contact you want to edit. Scroll down to find the edit option.

It states contact not found "This contact was not found in the Work Email contact list" what does that mean?

okay, I go to my phonebook select the contact I wish to edit, press edit and then I get Contact not found. this contact was not found in the Work Email contact list. That's all I get.

I wonder where you imported the contact list from in the first place?  Maybe this has created the problem.

Have you tried setting up your contacts to sync with either google or SE sync services.  You can edit them on the PC then and resync back to your phone.  I have just gleaned a little info on the SE sync, you can't have fields filled in on the PC that the phone doesn't have eg birthday.

I've had this same problem for months...well since around September last year....I finally figured it out....but unfortunately I lost some of my contact information that I put in after I had the problem.  It has to do with the Work Email application.  I went into the application, then used the bottom left button, clicked on delete contacts.

Then went back to contacts.  tried to edit one of my contacts.  A box opened, do you want to edit in phonebook or work e-mail, click on phonebook, and then set as default.  you should be able to make all of your changes now.  Good luck!

Hello,...

I've had the same problem. Also, I can't set up my work email. Not that I want to use it, but I thought I might can change the settings on how to edit my contacts. I've tried what you said about deleting the contact, but as I haven't set up (and can't set it up) my work email, it only gives me the option to save, discard or categorize. I just want to edit my contacts in my phonebook again. Also, I can't link my contact to my facebook contacts,... even though I access my facebook regularly through the facebook application on my phone. Anyone know what to do? Is there any way to get the window back where I can choose where I want to edit my contacts? Please help!

Me too..!! I just bought an Xperia Mini and had all my previous (160+) contacts imported into it. Now I would like to edit these contacts but not from the phone but rather from my PC - how can I do that..?..Please explain to a retired old man who bought a phone being much smarter than myself...Thanks..!...Cheers:smileysilly:..!
