Hi, i bought a Z5 compact in july and now 4 months later, the weather is colder (about 15-20 deegrees Celcius during the day). My phone gets boiling hot to the point were its uncomfortable to hold while texting in Messenger listening to music and maybe an ocasional google search. Apps restart, UI resets, keyboard crashes, and in general all apps act weird. I tried a factory reset nothing happened, i had a z1 compact prior to this one. Extremely dissapointed to the point that i feel like i downgraded, z1 compact would never heat up this much with these tasks with 20 deegrees ambient and such crashes never happened for 2 years of use. What can i do???

You probably have other apps/services running in the background, creating this issue, what you can do is test it in >>> safe mode for a couple of hours or repair the phone with XC

I checked the battery drain graph and the apps below were just the apps thati used... Repairing with XC will reinstall the OS right?

I have quite the same issue on my z5, since around two weeks it's crashing especially when starting Apps, e.g. Spotify... Sometimes it just takes very long (around one minute) until something happens and sometimes it directly crashes. And today while listening to music, i noticed the heat issue, normally the phone just gets warm while playing games, but today it got really hot and I wasn't even really using it. Tried already the Sony repair Software but didn't help either.

You should test the phone in safe mode most likely you have a lot of background apps running.

Okay i tried safe mode nothing changed, but then i installed Clean master, and did a junk clean, cleaned 3 GB of junk, phome runs cooler except when i use it while its charging, its more responsive and battery is more or less back to normal, my question is, why?

Scratch that... Its back, i tried safe mode, still happenig, tried repairing for a second time, still happening. Using music player or radio, whilst browsing causes the phone and battery to get 45-50 deegrees and uncomfortable to hold, cant imagine the damage caused and i feel like i spent my money on a broken device

And a new trend, i do nothing, just open cpu temp app, no background apps running, ariplane mode on minimum brightness 48-51 celcius constantly. What is going on?
My device is frying potatoes
