Connectivity Problem in WAP-enabled Wifi - Xperia E1

I have mu Wifi turned on. But still could not connect to Wifi networks that are enabled with WAP security. The problem is that when it asks for password, the "Connect" does not get activated/enabled even after entering the password in the text-box.

can u provide a reason or suggest any changes in security settings to resolve this.

Sorry, in the message, I have incorrectly stated WPA-enabled as WAP . I can see the "Connect" button active for networks with WEP security, but not for networks with WPA security.
