concerned about battery

I just got my phone today. I didn't see any instructions and charge it right away. I did turn it on while it was charging. I unplugged it a few times to install the companion and it did go down to say 80%. But when I checekd about phone>battery, it only says 7m, 40s on battery. Now I'm still charging now and overnight after I type this but should I be worried about my battery life? I never saw the battery level slip below 100% after it was fully charged.

Nothing to worry about.

Read the manual as it will tell you how to condition your battery.

After at least one to two month usage, then you will see the true battery life.

So why is it saying only 7 minutes instead of say 10 hours (assuming that is battery life). How long do I have to charge it during it's initial charge?

It has to do with how Android Monitoring the Battery Level and Charging State.  It is just adjusting to the new battery, don't worry.

Thanks for the reassurance. Today when I started to use it abit it only went up to 1.5 hours, then down to 40 mins then up to 45 mins and continues up n down. Do I just keep using it then it will go up to the maximum lifespan of 10 hours
