Hello everyone,
I have been posting a few threads lately trying to get solutions for issues I find on my Xperia TL and so far every issue has been resolved through the contributions of everyone on this forum thus I would like to take a moment to state thank you to all of you. An issue that I sometimes notice with my Xperia TL and that I have heard is an issue with many Xperia T's is hearing a static sound during a telephone call. My old Xperia TL always had a static sound and my new Xperia TL has the static sound sometimes. I have read that it is most likely a hardware issue but does anyone what the specific culprit is? The following is a link to a video of the recorded sound from an Xperia T owner whose telephone suffers from the same issue.
I have a feeling the issue is caused by dust and lint that collect in the screen for the earpiece speaker. If you carry the telephone in your pocket and pull it in and out a lot the dust goes into the earpiece and gets caught by the screen. It can be removed using isopropanol but I would recommend using only 99+% anhydrous isopropanol so that the risk of damage is nulled.
