Clock show wrong time after a while

I am using an Xperia Active (model ST17i). Android 4.0.4, SW 4.1.B.0.587

A strange issue with the clock, on some days it will start to show wrong time. It will lag by 5 to 10 minutes.

The phone is set to update clock automatic from cell operator.

I now belive I have found a systematic way to repeat the problem:

If the phone stays at same location (same network cell), the clock will start to lag after approx two days.

If I move the phone around in town (different cells), the problem never happens.

To get correct clock time back, I have to switch On/Off flightmode. As soon as the phone reconnects to network the clock shows correct time again.

Has anyone else encountered same problem?

Do you experience the same problem if you don't use 'automatic date & time'? 

You could try with another SIM card in your phone to see if the same behavior persists.

I'm using manual time setting now. So far the phone keeps correct time.

Coming weekend will be interesting for trying "the same zone".

Unfortunately I don't have another SIM.

Still using manual update on the clock. And it keeps correct time.

So I assume there is something wrong in the function Automatic update.

As far as I know the automatic time is provided by the network. Try with a new SIM card in your phone or talk to your network operator. 

Or since the phone keeps the right track of time, you can use manual time instead.
