Chromecast Screen Mirroring

Hi,

Google released and unlocked the native screen mirroring via Chromecast. Why is SONY the only BRAND that is not listed in supported devices ? Can't be that hard to do...I buy a Flagship Device and get a knock into my face for it...Please get in contact with google to add the Z2 to the list of the supported devices ASAP!

greetings.

Im with you on this one. I bought a chromecast and this is a feature i've been looking forward to and once it's here it's not suppported. Should just have gone for the Apple solution with 5s+Apple-tv..

I imagine sales of the Sony devices haven't yet reached the levels of Samsung, HTC, LG.. Could be wrong.

Download an app called Avia from the Play Store - does the job!

So i spent a fortune to get the Z2 and then bought the chromecast just to find I threw $35 down the drain. Why are all the Android phones compatible except for Sony Xperias? Such a shame

You do know that the phone supports Chromecast, just not mirroring via Chromecast? It's a nice feature, but a minor one. Saying you chucked $35 down the drain because it doesn't (yet) do this is a bit of an exaggeration.

Download an app called Allcast. Works great but you have to pay about £3? after the initial trial.

Great for watching movies from Showbox Winking_Face

Apps like Netflix, BT Sport, You Tube, Google Photos etc etc are all fantastic and work well with Z2/Chromecast.

Support for mirroring the screeen is still limited.

As suggested already the open nature of Chromecast means that other apps may support this feature.

Is there any solution on its way for this?

I hope sony gets into the game soon...
