choppy internet

Hello. I just purchased a new Sony Xperia Z2 phone. I'm pretty excited to use it but it seems like the internet is choppy. I have a tablet as well but the internet connection is just fine. Is there anything in the Settings that I can change to boost the internet connectivity?

No. I'm talking about wifi.

What do you consider choppy? What result do you get in the speedtest.net app?

Have you tried other wifi networks? Do you have other wireless devices on the same network that do not have choppy internet?
