Charging problems

Hi all,

My 3 weeks old Sony Experia Z will not charge itself anymore.When i attach the adaptor noting happens and when i connect the phone to a computer, i've tried different ones, is does connect, and i can up/down load my files but is does not charge.

As i read on different fora i have allread tried to switch the phone off and on again. or hold the on/off button. but without the disired effect.

Offcourse i have not done any things out of the ordinary with my phone.

Does any one have an idea what the problem can be?

sounds like a faulty cable or a broken or bent pin on the usb port on the phone

the cable connects a 5v supply to the phone usb from the charger and as you have tried both the mains chager and computer then the above seems likely - a docking port would give you the answer - maybe take it to a shop and try the docking port or an alternative cable

Thanks Geoff, Do you know if this can be repaired under the guarantee?

if so i wil just return it to the shop.

if it's just the cable then ask them to replace it, if the USB is damaged then you might have a fight on your hands - should be ok though

hope it works out
