charging problem

Hello, I've been facing a problem with my sony xperia L C2104. Firstly lemme explain up the things..Phone had a problem with charging .. So i got the charging connector changed which was figured out was the faulty thing in it. But now, I still got the problem that the phone doesn't get charged,. The phone get's out of the powersaving mode when i connect the charger into the slot,the beep sound (the sound which indicated when the phone is connected to the charger), the notification light doesn't show up.. when i switch off the phone and connect it to charging, the battery image appears and the notification light works but the charging gets discharged Ultimately the phone doesn't charge up even if it is switched on or switched off. Please help me out ..
