charging problem

hello guys i've been experiencing a problem after updating to ics..even after i disconnect the charger the led remains lit and the phone battery status shows as charging and the battery too drains comparitively faster is there a hardware problem...??? please help me out guys thanks..

mine shows as status-discharging and i have never faced this problem before or after installing ics !! try repairing using sony update service !! mostly itz a bug in your sxp !!

I am experiencing the same and it happens intermittently ever since I upgraded to ICS. The led stays lit on occasion. Also more often than not the PCC doesn't register the phone when plugged in via USB. After a restart of the phone it is able to "see" the phone.

p.s. the phone has been reset to factory default and I also tried upgrading through SUS and PCC to no avail...

I can live with these bugs, however the wi-fi seizing after only a few minutes of traffic issue which I detailed in this thread - http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/275925#275925 is a deal breaker for me. If Sony doesn't release the 6.1.B.0.550 update soon (which hopefully has a fix for that problem) the phone will promptly be ebayed even at a loss...
