Charging problem in Xperia S

It works fine but only issue is that sometimes (out of 10 times 1 or 2 times it charges normally) it dont charge at all and sometime charge like 2% in 30mins or so,i mean it connected to the adapter and the red light is on but the percentage does not seem to increase, it remains at the same point.

and when i connect it to my laptop it charges but still slowly but slightly faster than AC charger.
please help me...what i have to do to solve this (and ya its happening only after i updated my phone to jellybean 6.2.B.1.96)

If you check the battery usage in the power management section of settings, what is listed as the top three names/percentages?

android system  18%

voice call 10%

cell standby 9%
But the problem is not permanent it occurs sometime and most of the time it went smooth and fast.
when it start it remains there for 36-48 hours after that i charge the phone and all goes fine
i dont know what to do 😕

no but i have checked my charger and it worked fine in my cousin's phone as i charged his phone when he was at my home unfortunately he didn't have his own charger that time to check mine.

It is normal that the phone charges slower at the laptop or PC because the voltage in these is lower than the voltage that comes directly from the plug.Also,it is a bug that sometimes the battery percentage is not updated.Try to force restart from time to time(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).
