Charging battery problem?

Yesterday, I had the first major problem that I've had with my X10.  I plugged it in the night before, woke up, only to discover that my phone wouldn't power on, and there was a red blinking light.  It had me very worried, and I thought maybe the motherboard burned out or something.  Later, I just left the charger in for a few hours, and the light went from red, to yellow.  Even after waiting a few hours, the battery never did charge 100% and change to a green light, whereas the phone always would be fully charged within an hour-hour 1/2.

Thinking it was just a fluke and relieved that my phone once again could operate, I left it to charge last night.  I woke up in the middle of the night to discover there was no charging light, but rather a random red light that would blink and then stop for a while.  This morning I left it to charge again, and it was sitting for almost 3 hours.  I turned it on, and it's only about 60% charged.

Do you think I need a new battery?  I'm 99% sure this is probably the problem, but I just wanted to make sure before I purchased one.  One other thing to note is that my charger it working fine, and I even tried charging it through my computer and the USB cable....same issue.

Thanks in advance!
