Hello,
I am a very happy possessor of an Xperia X Compact since tuesday, I had an Xperia J then Xperia M2 before.
Most of the time I use the charging adapter from Sony (which was in the smartphone's box) and I still use both of my old Xperia.
My last Sony charging adapter has on it :
Input : 100-240V AC - 150mA
Output : 5V DC - 850mA
My new Sony charging adapter has :
Input : 100-240V - 200mA
Output : 5V - 1500mA
Can I use the old charging adapter for my new X Compact ?
Can I use the new charging adapter for my Xperia J and M2 ?
Is there any risks for the smartphones / batteries ?
And what about other charging adapter (I read somewhere that it is better if the amperage is the same as the original) ?
I also noticed the the flash led is very less bright on the Xperia X Compact than on my Xperia J and M2, why ?
Is there a way to change that (I tried an app but it's the same) ?
I was so happy with my M2 as a flashlight but it's so low an yellowish on my X Compact... 😕
Chargers:
yes you can use the chargers interchangeably, the downside is that when you use the old charger to the Xperia X compact, it wont be as quick as the new charger on the other hand, when you use the new charger to the old phone, afaik it still wont charge quickly since the phone will not utilise the increase in voltage., also you can use other chargers as long as you try to observe that it is not causing serious problems like overheating and other problems.
LED:
you can not change the intensity of the brightness since this is an hardware issue,. sony might have used different led for the different phone.
For the white X compact the LED light intensity is very week also compared with a white Z5 compact I also own, is the same like it was on the Z3 compact that previosly owned.
You cannot change it, you have to live with it
Thanks for your answers
So if a bigger amperage won't damage the batteries I think it's better to use the new charging adapter...
