Charge Problems

Hi
As from the 4.4.4 android update I cannot charge properly my phone Xperia M2 via a computer.
When I connect via USB cable the phone is not recognized by the computer. I need to maintain the connection via the USB cable, switching of the phone, then the charge is beginning and switching on the phone maintaining the USB cable connected.
On the top the PC Companion tool doesn't recognize anymore my phone after this upgrade.
Who can assist me to solve these two issues.

Could you try different cables and other USB ports on your computer, and if possible other computers?

Thanks for your message.

Tried on two computers and it is the same. I have exactly the same problem. Didn't try with another cable for the moment but understand if you are maintaining the phone connected with the cable, switching of the phone and then it is charging this means the cable is working.
So what is the solution for the two problems?

I understand but you can still try using another cable. If not try contacting Sony Xperia Support to see further advice and possibly evaluate the phone.

Hi Phy,
Even changing the cable it is not working and that's 6 days I am waiting for the support you are mentioning to return with a solution for both cases.
That's why I inserted this message on the forum in order to get another chance to find a solution

I saw yesterday that if you connect with the USB cable, you switch of the phone, you switch on and stay connected with the cable, you choose on your settings share USB connection and you relaunch the PC companion software from your phone you can charge the phone and the PC companion software recognize your phone. Once you disconnect and connect once again your USB cable you have the same problem and you have to switch of, switch on, choose on your settings share USB and relaunch PC companion software from your phone once again.
That's a partial solution only because I cannot find up to now how to make it automatically but if it can helps someone that's better than nothing.
