Change camera counter

Ive upgraded from z1 to z5, but z5 has started numbering pictures from 1 again.  cant backup images to onedrive because they over-right my old pictures.

is there any way to change the counter value for the picture naming?

Sadly there isn't but there's a trick that works with the same phone but I'm not sure if it'll work in this situation.

on your Z1 open the file commander > internal storage > DCIM > 100Andro > look for the last picture > lets say is the DSC1000 > transfer that to your Z5 > internal storage > DCIM > 100ANDRO > make sure to remove any prior pictures > then take a new picture > see if that works

i actually just renamed the last picture i took on the z5 to be one more than the last picture on the z1, and now all the pictures are being numbered from that value.
