Cedar J108i - Language Problem

Dear Support,

I have some questions about this phone:

a) How can update a language package? I need to include a Spanish language menu, but the phone seems to be a little locked to do a simple thing like that.

b) If I need a software update to do a), how can I choose the right one without the software update choose the firmware?

c) If I use a tool like A2Uploader or SETool, where can I find the files esp.lng and t9.lng for the Cedar phone?

The phone was purchased UNLOCKED, so I can't ask my provider for the solution. These phone will be great with little more degrees of freedom like some other phones.

If you want to add a language by using A2 uploader or other programme, or if you want to reflash your phone with a different firmware version from that which was originally in your phone by using a tool such as Omnius, then bear in mind that you will lose the warranty.

Yes, I know that and I think is a problem that to add or change a simple Language Pack could involve a fatal error. But I still need a response to the question, for instance, If I use omnius, where do I get the firmware?

http://www.omnius-server.com/phone?id=11 As I understand it, although I've never used Omnius myself, you need to download it to your PC and then you get the option to replace your current firmware with the that of the region(s) that include the Spanish language.Here's the Omnius link for your phone, so have a look at the services provided such as CDA Changing and Flashing & Phone language change.

Ok thanks, but Omnius need for you to provide the firmware (phone software), which I don't have and I guess it is not provided by SonyEricsson.

Did u figure this out? I am buying this phone and want Portuguese and Spanish on it but don't know how to do it. Thanks!

Well, if you buy this phone make sure it does support the languages you are interested in. The operative system soft comes with languages depending the zone the phone is targeted.

Yes, I finally found the solution. Just install this language package using Omnius > Flash > Custom Personal Files. This custom file contain the spanish package language and it is installed in: tpa\preset\system\language\
