I constructed a mini-survey for you guys in order to help me and others find the perfect case for the xperia tablet z. Please answer it as much as you can. Thanks
What case do you have for the xperia tablet Z?
Is it light/how much does it weight?
Does it allow access to camera, headphone, and charging ports?
Pics?
I'm using a Kensington Blutooth keyboard folio. Adds a good amount of bulk but keeps it safe. All ports and the rear cam are covered. I mainly use it to prop up the tablet for keyboard use. The keyboard is great.
I love the look and feel of the tablet so I was thinking of just getting a nice felt sleeve for transport.
With all of the software and applications problems, it turns out the only good thing about the Xperia Tablet Z is its very light weight. So I use my case only when needed to protect it while traveling or rare circumstances at home. I use the Poetic case, which is inexpensive and does the job (but cannot mount in charging cradle). Like all cases, the Poetic significantly increases the weight of the tablet.
+1 on the Poetic Case. I bought the red and the black. They are cheap (~$20 on Amazon) and as was stated before by a previous poster, add a lot of weight to the tablet: The cover has magnets imbedded to wake the screen up when it opens and to fold into viewing stands.
The construction is good - it looks like they basically added a magnetic PVC cover to a hard shell case (Incipio Feather, or knockoff of one). Either way, it is the slimmest case/cover you can get. I only wish they made more colors, like the ones they have for the Nexus 7. Wouldn't mind one in Orange or Blue,
I've found the G-HUB case (www.amazon.co.uk/SONY-XPERIA-Tablet-Case-integrated/dp/B00CFUYD8S/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=13882...) to work fine. It automatically puts the tablet into standby mode on closing. Headphone, USB and SD card slots are accessible too. I don't know how the stand would work with it.
