Cannot unlock screen, after screen autolocks? Several threads on the internet, but no solution?

i have reset the phone, reinstalled it all, but its still locking the phone up.

I am resetting the phone every 5 minutes now, this is getting fairly annoying!

Are you sure that power button works normally?Boot the phone in safe mode,see if the same occurs:

I think that the button could be bad, but there are so many threads on the internet about bad software, this seems strangely familiar!?

Seems to happen, every time i get an email.

The only app i have now is my mobile banking, and that cant be the problem.

Did you try safe mode?

if your thinking of the hard reset, then yes, it works, until the screen locks

yes safe mode works fine, but im not getting any activity in that mode

I tend to believe this is a 3rd party app.Boot in safe mode.
