cannot turn off Xperia T after update

I used to have a feature on my phone where, after holding down the power button for a couple of seconds a menu would come up that allowed me to put my phone into airplane mode, change the sound settings or turn it off. This menu no longer appears now and my phone just locks when I hold the power key. Is there a simple way around this?

This is not possible,it should show up.Force restart your device(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).
