Cannot restore my contacts after update

I recently updated my XP from .54 build to .75 .Before doin that, i created backup of my contacts by PCC. After i updated my phone, i tried to restore the contacts and it is showing error as in the image below. I have very important contacts in the backup and i don't want to lose it. Quick suggestions appreciated.

I have tried renaming the .dbk file(Backup file) to .zip and was useless. It is not having any files like Contacts.vcs(or something like that). Below are the screenshots when i tried to extract the renamed file.

Is there no one who knows solution for this?? Not even Sony officials??? terrible !

Never use any SONY made software to backup data !!

Always use third party apps from PLAY store. or much better save in google account !! (the obvious reason you bought android for !!:smileylaugh::smileyhappy:  )

much better root your phone and use Titanuim backup or Carbon backup (non root).

Possible solution

Flash old firmware and then resore the data and then backup on GOOGLE and then flash the new firmware.

If not works then remember above three steps for your future.

most important thing, always disable any sort of protection on your PC before performing upgrading or maintenanc eof phone. antivirus might delete the files in process, leaving you with problems afterwards

check you contact backup file if it is .dbk or .vcf, and please to avoid problems use a pendrive or your internal storage to back up contacts.. try to check what im asking and if it is .dbk file here are the solutions.

contacts > mark all > back up > INTERNAL STORAGE

ive done it a hundred times and i have no problems recovering it. if im not mistaken xperia P can read only .vcf files.  check this thread for some informations.

I tried every single method, see my thread http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/440618#440618. I can only get help from a .54 build user. And my backup is .dbk file, not .vcf. Even renaming trick mentioned over internet is also not working for me

This has been looked at and we've tried to help you but unfortunately your backup file has gone corrupt and it will not be able to restore any information from this backup.
