I have a stupid problem with my new Xperia V. I cannot put a phone call on the built-in speaker.
If I reset the phone to factory settings and then try to use the speakerphone, it works.
But as soon as I log into my Google account on the device (and the device starts to pull software updates), the speakerphone stops working. I still can press the button, and it lights up. But the phone does not switch to the speaker.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any solutions?
did u recently changed ur os or updated ur phone through pc companion?
After I unpacked it, I updated my phone over WLAN. When I discovered the bug, I sent it to the Sony repair center. They also said they updated it.
I can wipe my phone, then it does work. But as soon as I log into my Google account, it stops working.
One thing you can try is to create a gmail test account and login using this account just to see if the problem remain or solved. Let me know if the problem still remains.
I have the same problem. the speaker function works when the phone runs android 4.0, but when i upgrade it to 4.1 the speakerphone problem comes again.
Have you found a fix for it?
I just went to the phonestore twice today, and both times i went home whit a new cell, wich, when i upgrade it to 4.1 makes the same problem.
I decided to get an Xperia ZR instead. It doesn't support LTE like the Xperia V, but phone providers in Germany don't offer any reasonable LTE contracts anyways. The ZR works much nicer than the V, including the speaker phone.
Had this oboblem also! Factory reset fix it. (For how long?)
Noted that others reported the same error in other forums!
Hi
sorry for my late answer on this topic but when you encountoured this issue, Did you set your Xperia V in silent mode? Indeed I can check that if this mode is ON, it is impossible to use the speaker during a call. If you set this mode OFF you can do it easily.
