Cannot install backup to Xperia tipo

My xperia tipo broke a few weeks ago and was returned for repair under warranty.  In the end it could not be repaired and I was sent a new Xperia tipo as a replacement.  I backed up my original phone to PC before it went in for repair (backup facility not available via PC Companion).  However I have been unable to install these backups into the phone.  All USB connections are fine.  The PC says it is copying the files, but nothing is showing up on the phone.  What can I do?  Thanks.

Hard for me to say what the issue might be since you have used some third party program to perform a back up. Since there is no problem with the USB-connection, I think the issue is more related to the files that are backed up or the program that you are using. I suggest that you contact the developer of the program for further assistance.
