Okay I am really hoping someone can help with this as the problem has plagued me since I got the phone new and since I sent it back for repair which appeared to fix the problem I have since discovered it didn't! I should have checked more thoroughly when I got it back!
So here is a summary of the issue I have:
So I have tried two band new 32GB SD cards as initially I thought I had been sold a dudd. I have formatted these in the phone and then when this has failed in a PC to FAT32. I can copy and read data to the cards fine in a PC reader so this would imply the cards are fine?
When I put them in the phone it is slow to detect and mount them but does eventually and sees them as the correct capacity.
However if I try to transfer data under the storage menu this fails immediately and says 'Transfer interrupted. Check your SD card for possibly transferred data'.
I was advise by support to try and install and standalone file manager which I did and this also failed to copy data to the card. Once again it can see the card and when you browse the card a load of random symbols show in the folder presumably where it has tried to start copying to it.
I have tried to reset the phone previously and this did not solve the issue either. Just a pain in the bum having to reinstall everything afterwards!
By chance I was trying again with the file manager App and happened to look under properties for the SD card where I noticed it said Read: True, write:False.
So I believe the issue is, for whatever reason, that the phone is seeing the card as read only even though it has no lock and I can clearly write to it when I put it in a PC.
I think that is all the info up to now. The problem is really getting me down on the phone and I do not really want to send it off again and be without a phone for a week and potentially be charged for a repair when one it has been like it since new and two if there is possibly something I can do to fix it myself with some guidance from someone on here.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Thank you
