Cannot connect to PC

Hello, I cannot connect my Xperia S to PC.

I have windows XP and Xperia S 4.0.4 I tried 2 different computers, 2 cables, I even I recover the factory setings, and nothing worked.

The phone is charging the PCC has been instaled but it says that there is no connected device.

USB debuging is turned on the PCC was instaled imediately atter I plugged the phone.

Have you tried letting Windows Update search online?

If that doesn't work I'd suggest completely removing and re-installing PCC. It looks like a definite driver issue if the phone is charging when you plug it into your USB port.

You may also wish to try and manually search for and specify the driver by going into the MTP devices properties in Device Manager > Driver tab > Update driver

Hi Ive got the same problem, but if you only want to uptade your Xperia install Sony Uptade Service

I still can not connect my phone with PC but didn't have any trouble with update.

Make sure that you have the latest Windows Media Player for XP installed on your PC. It usually helps the MTP drivers to install correctly. Also it would be good to try with another USB cable.
