cannot change keyboard settings!

I cannot change my Xperia arc keyboard settings back to default after downloading a different keyboard app. All it does is stay on the Chinese or Japanese keyboards. I need help plzzzz.

open your messaging app, long press on the white rectangle (input box) and tap on Input method and select any other keyboard that you prefer

also go to settings -> language & keyboard make sure you can see the Default input

i havent a clue where that is. I'd just bought the phone as of last week. still figuring it out. where is the messaging app located? i keep going to the "language and keyboard" and thats where i figured i messed up???

simple, at your homescreen -> tap the center square made out small squares to reveal your apps, looke for Messaging app, it looks like a white envelop

once there tap on new message -> on the input white box "long press" and wait for a menu to pop up -> tap on input method

okay well i am on there and it let me put it on default but its still a different keyboard...one that autocorrects and is in bold all the time...even when i try to change the settings it still hasnt changed back to the original keyboard...?

ok once you are on the messaging app -> at the bottom right you be able to see a wrench -> tap on it -> tap on quick text settings -> uncheck learn words -> tap on Word suggestions --> select

Word suggestions only -> press the back button twice
