Since I updated my Xperia E1 dual to Android 4.4.2, I'm unable to access VPN settings (and therefore unable to add/use a VPN connection). Going to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > VPN results into a message like "Settings are cancelled". After calling Sony Support several times, I used the "repair" process in "PC Companion" and/or reset to fatory settings. The problem still ouccurrs.
Does anybody has the same problem and maby a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Titus
I also have this problem!
Not sure when it showed up, but I'm running Android 4.4.4, Version 14.4.A.0.157
I have the exact same problem, I'm asked to provide a password (which I have not previously set) but no matter what I enter, it keeps saying it has cleared / delted the settings ("Uppgiftslagring har raderats" in Swedish...)
Is there anyway to solve this? Preferrably without resetting to factory defaults...
Found a sollution that worked for me!
It's described here: http://www.pocketables.com/2014/02/fix-credential-storage-roadblock-android.html
In short:
* disable what ever screen lock you have
* Go to the VPN settings - it will prompt you to activate a screen lock
* Activate your choosen screen lock and you're good to go - at least I was!
Cheers!
