Cannot access the internet

do you have the correct APN settings? settings -> xperia -> internet settings

Yup I have. When I'm signing in, I receive "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server" message.

then factory data reset your phone and then try to connect.

settings > privacy > factory data reset

this will delete all the phone's data so backup all your files first.

Ive just bought the xperia U and im getting the same msg. It refuses to let me setup a google account. I set it up using google chrome and it has been verified. but when i try to login from the phone i just keep getting "can't establish a relaible connection to the server" Ive tried through my network and wifi. Its already at factory settings. I set up the wifi and it says its connected. PC companion says my phone is uptodate. But the phone just keeps asking for me to add a google account but wont let me cause it refuses to connect. It does connect to the net through the browser but just wont connect to the google server. I only got the phone 6 hrs ago and im finding it very hard to set up and use cause i cant add a google account. There wasnt even a user manul with it to show me how to put the battery and sim in. I had to get that info from here.
