can't set any security question when setting pattern

Hi today I found that when I want to set a pattern lock for my Xperia z, it doesn't ask me to enter security question in order to unlock the phone using answer
Please tell me how can I make it work?

Indeed you can not, unless you use a different lock app from the play store

Maybe it has been installed by factory

Hey.

You don't have to worry about it.

In case you forget the pattern , you'll be asked to reset it by entering your android Gmail ID and it's password, that's it.

Now this works as a substitute of security question.

It doesn't really matter I just want to know why does my phone skip this step?

Well, this how the way it works now im afraid. It's not like your phone is skipping it.

I think it's more convenient now because I've seen many people not remembering their security question and it's answer.If you don't remember the answer, you won't be able to reset it.

But now with the ID thing , I guess it's easy.

Sorry that I ask this question here but does resetting with Google account need to be connected to internet?

It's normal yes

And yeah it needs internet connection. Which I guess is pretty much a demerit . If you don't have the internet connection turned on already, you won't be able to reset it
