Can't read Malayalam in whatsapp - Sony

I've a rooted xperia j bought from Saudi. I can't Read Malayalam (language of Kerala,India) in whatsapp. Please help me.

You may need to contact the developer as it sounds like an issue with compatibility in that the language in the app isn't supported

I updated the app yesterday.
But in Xperia Ion and in SL it works fine. both bought from saudi
