Can't mount external memory card

I can't mount an external memory card on my Xperia Go. As can be seen on the pic below, the option is 'inactive'.

This is with a brand new memory card, that works fine in a Samsung Mini 3.

The original  memory card from the Samsung isn't mountable either, when inserted into the Go.

Connecting to PC via USB doesn't activate the option.

According to the PC Companion, the phone is up to date

Both cards are 8GB MicroSD

From what company?You know,there are compatibility issues between some cards and sony devices.

One is Verbatim and one is Transcend

I do not know exactly which ones have troubles,but I have seen that Sandisk and Sony do give good performance.

I'll have to give them a go, and thanks for the quick replies 

I do suspct this will end with a repair, as the the phone is less than a month old, and I havenøt fiddled with it

You might consider taking the phone to a service,just for a check.Maybe you can try other cards there.
